Day 4
I can feel the week crawling..
I can feel my eyes closing on me..
i can feel my body yearning for my bed at home...Can i make it through today, oh God, help me..
Let me tell u abt my Day 3:
Got tired of vegetarian dinner, so asked MIL not to cook our dinner last night since DD has got team dinner. So last minute, i suggested to Sis if she can go and eat beef noodle with me after work. In exchange, i will be the "lightbulb" between Kerk and her as they had agreed to meet up (after not meeting for 2.5 days, she says... hehe)
First, satisfy my tom yum craving during lunch at Amoy market.
Then i left office at ard 7pm, to walk to Springleaf to meet Kerk and Sezanne.
First time meeting Kerk, im actually more interested abt his "prison tales" then anything else..
NO.. Wait, let me clarify - He works in the QRP in Singapore ok.......
I think its a nice job, can see and meet/ deal with many different types of people.
Kerk looks exactly like who he is in the photos that Sis showed me.
And for a guy, he really can eat a lot =)
Sis and me order a medium, while Kerk order large and when his bowl was served, he was 'smirking' as commented this large bowl of beef noodle was "no threat" to him.. He finished everything left only soup. (Anyway, this stall serves their beef noodles in larger than normal bowl, i dunno wats the trick behind this, but maybe thats why singyin says their portion was smaller the last time she n YS went...)
The beef noodle that i am referring to is the Hock Lam Beef Noodle at Purvis Street -along the same row as Killiney Coffeeshop and the corner Thai restaurant (which i have yet to try their food yet, but heard many good recoomendations.)
As usual, a poor sense of direction always makes me confused between the lanes of shophouses opposite Bugis junction and Purvis Street. I thought Purvis Street was opposite Bugis Junction!!! How silly!
After dinner, we walked to the "Bugis lane" (sorry i did not note down the street name) to have dessert.
I ordered Aloe Vera, lime and strawberry. kerk ordered honeydew, watermelon sago while Sis ordered Red Bean paste with lily bulb. She wanted to drink red bean soup.. but was mistaken as the shop only served red bean in paste form. Must be tasty - she finished everything. We all did! Mine was refreshing, ice cold yummy. Usually i would order the mango and pomelo dessert.
We talked abt our KTV meet up on 26th July. Kerk asked me to book with Ten Dollar KTV first for 26th July - if no slot then he will book with "Teo Heng". His feedback was that Ten Dollars was better - room more spacious. I haven been to Teo heng b4.
The KTV pop up after me and Sis realised she had never gone KTV with Julian before. So we also made this chance for the two guys to meet up. Sis wanted Kerk to see Julian's "Buddha ears" - haha....
Then it was time to go home. Kerk sent me and sis back to Sis' home. I spent the rest of my night there while waiting for Jul's event to end (since he was at Seletar Air Base). We watched the HK drama _ Fatty Tian and also a bit of MJ's memorial.
I wasn't a big fan of MJ, cos i did not have any tears to shed for him as i watched the program..To me, doesn't matter how long you lived on earth, but the legend and treasures you have left behind. He has given us good songs and many good years of entertainment, good memories - in the way his works had left impact on all of us at different points of our lives whether the old or young - he may have gone thru pain (physical and mental) -for he is also human. But he has lived a good life. People will remember his works and his deeds - whether or not he is physically here with us. For one, other than his songs: I loved his "Do you remember (the time)" MTV the most - i could watch it over and over again many times, even now - very captivating piece.
I asked Sis to show me her "Bag Collection" last night too - at the same time - she did her decluttering exercise for her bags. Cool.. Very interesting to see her collection of pouches, bags big and small - she had a few new/ unused one and I gave her some ideas what to do with them. For those which she chose to throw away - i decided to pick some of them home and prolong their "life" with me.. Just one small denim cute handbag, a Watson carrier, a Her World weave-design carrier and a small DKNY sling bag which she did not use at all after buying from their warehouse sale many years ago... I cannot bear to see it being throw away, so i had to bring it to my possession. Maybe galgal can use it next time - as her first tiny handbag. haha (provided i can keep it is good condition)
Finally i stayed until 11.30pm and DD arrived. It was time for me to go back to my home. So paisey to trouble sis at her house until so late.
This weekend, DD is working whole day on Sunday, and he was feeling bad that he did not spend time with me, so we will spend Saturday afternoon till evening together - maybe go sentosa for picnic, he says - but being a salesman - he made it sound so nice and tempting: 4S and Red wine. S for Sushi,Sashimi,Salad and Susasges. haha... what an idea.
I reminded him to change red wine into Ribena instead. haha
Then, I shall go to Sunday morning service then and meet mum and bro after that. Time for me to shop for some 'short heels' shoes too...
:Lunch break:
:Back from Lunch break:
Today had Kim Chi soup and rice.
I think i have fulfiled all my recent cravings for "heavy taste" by now:
Curry (roti prata), tomyum (ydae lunch), laksa(MIL's vegetarian laksa) and kim chi (today). hehe.. Now no more cravings at the moment liao..
My company is having our annual bowling event on 16th August. Oh.. im very tempted to join. How i wished i could still play..Anyway, its just "throw ball" - but maybe i have overestimated myself - scully I become tired very easily - so better not be gung ho. Just stick to swimming bah.. Feels a bit left out if i dun turn up - at least to laugh at ppl and join in the 'fun'...
We'll see how.
I can still feel my eyes closing
I can still feel my body yearning for bed..
I still cannot feel any "pop" in the tummy which the forum ladies say is the kicking of the baby..
Maybe she did, but i did not recognise it yet.
Kick Harder, gal! Im waiting..
